Servicing the Electronic Shift Module on the Jeep SRT8
So the popular issue with the ESM popped up on my Jeep the other day, I read up a bunch of stuff on this post and decided to tackle the cleaning myself. I scanned the car prior to this and it threw the code U0103 (Lost Communication with Gear Shift Control Module “A”). The fix took me just a little over an hour working in near surgical conditions, and I am sure if I had to do it again – it can be done in under an hour.

Rejuvenating Old Plastic Trim and Conditioning Rubber
If you are tired of all the oxidized and faded black and gray trim on your car don't despair. There is an awesome product out there that can bring it back to life - for a fraction of the price if you were to replace all of the faded bits. The product is called Mothers Back-to-Black and it is available at most automotive distributor places.
Deep Cut Polish and Sealed
Since I winter drive my 850 it gets some wear from winter like any other car would. Every spring I usually deep polish and seal the car to give it a fresh look and upkeep the body condition. This spring has been really wet and I haven't got around to it till recently. Take a look at the pictures of me masking all the windows, trim and stuff off and polishing it then sealing.
Overheating BMW 850i - Auxiliary Fan
After a nice, long (and cold) winter came a warm summer... with it some cooling system woes. Most of my cooling system has been replaced in the last 5,000km so this posed a real puzzle as to what was really happening to the car. Here I will go through the list of things to check when your M70 is overheating and what you can do to rectify the problem. For me the problem ended up being a super simple one, a blown fuse.
Fitting E63 - E64 M6 Wheels on an E31 BMW 850i
I have always enjoyed the look of the M6 wheels, but when I saw a set on an 850 on the forums, I just knew I had to own a set for my car. After browsing classifieds for a few months a mint set of original wheels emerged (it was also a pretty amazing deal that I couldn't pass up so I was quick on my feet to pick them up). They have been sitting in my basement ever since I got them, so I figured I'd make a post about some math as to what is needed to make a set fit your E31 (or maybe just a lesson in offsets).
